Meet the team

Tom Saunders

Tom set up Opportunity China and now runs Opportunity Education Services. He has many years’ experience as a mentor and advisor to young people starting their own businesses. Previously Tom worked as Programme Director for Enactus UK with a programme of over 2,000 students across 48 universities. Alongside his business, Tom is a University ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’, mentoring students to launch their business ideas.

Louise Drake

Louise is a Regional Manager for the Royal Society of the Arts (RSA). Louise has many years of experience in training entrepreneurship and business, both within a corporate setting and as a university lecturer. In 2011 Louise won the UnLtd & HEFCE award for Outstanding Social Entrepreneur for her work in the ‘Eco Ernie’ initiative.

Teresa Phillips

Teresa is an experienced Accountant and the owner of Berrywood Accountants. She has helped many small businesses to plan and manage their finances. Teresa has a particular interest in advising start-up businesses on avoiding common pitfalls and has aided many new businesses to grow.

Greg Sandford

Greg works in a freelance capacity for a range of organisations to plan, create and project manage their communications activities, and in 2007/8 he worked for the Obama for America election campaign. Alongside this, he has more than a decade of experience in enterprise education initiatives that encourage young people to start and grow their own businesses. He is an ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’ at Southampton Solent University, and regularly delivers workshops for students on innovation and problem solving.
